Solo bassist? help on a new bass guitar?

I’ve been playing bass for a while now and i really need/want a new bass. I had been looking at jazz type bass and i liked the warwicks. However, i wanna try some new stuff with the bass, piccolo bass strings so i can tune it different and play more solo stuff. I had played a Zon VB bass and love the sound but its very exoensive… do u have any ideas for a new bass?

great harmonics
and will work well with piccolo strings

you might want to try a baritone guitar… they are the octave between guitar and bass… fender and burns make one each… the warwick corvette fret less is killer.. cant go wrong with a fender p with flat wounds….
