Car stereo system setup?
Okay… I’m going to make this as simple and straight forward as possible.. First of all my deck is an Alpine CDA-7878 which apparently was “top of the line” a few years back.. I was not aware of that until I researched a little on it.. OKAY in any case.. All I want is a car stereo system that sounds decent.. I’m not trying to win bass wars.. And I don’t necessarily want to have the loudest system on the street. I listen to mainly rock but when I go out with my friends and everything they like to listen to more up beat hip hop type of music. I’m looking at http://www.caraudiodeals.com/power-acoustik-p312w-p-2178.html for subs. I am just curious as to what amp to purchase it states Peak: 2600 watts; RMS: 1300 watts. So what amplifier should I look into purchasing without blowing a whole weeks earnings on it.. Links would be fantastic.. And also for the enclosure is more cubic feet per chamber better? or do you want less? Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Lol dude Im sorry to tell you but there is no way those woofers are going to 1300 watts RMS. Think about it a woofer like the kicker L7 10 retails for around $300 each and those only do 650 rms and they are one of the best woofers for the money on the market. the woofers you are talking about cost about $75 dollars each they cant handle a continuous power of 1300 watts. Dont listen to everything people tell you or what you read on a box. Those woofers will maybe do about 300 RMS. So go out and by your self a descent 800 watt amp. You know what I have the perfect amp for you. Its really cheap like those woofers, but it will sound descent. The Koiller 1000 watt amp. The model number is XM-8787.
